Migrating a Validator
Migrating validators from one node to another (or from one vm instance to another) requires careful attention to avoid slashing. If you accidentally run the same validator key on 2 instances at the same time, even for a very short time period, you risk being slashed for an Attestation Violation. If this occurs, you will be removed as a validator and your GNO will be frozen and unavailable for withdrawal until after a hard-fork post GC/GBC merge.
Monitoring your Node(s)
To monitor a node in the network, you can either observe your own node's status or the entire network.
Monitoring Validators
After setting up your validators, it’s essential to ensure they are running properly and performing as expected.
Voluntary Exit
If you decide to stop validating and disable your node, you can initiate a voluntary exit. This will freeze your balance at its current value (rewards and/or penalties will no longer accrue).
